As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating profitable business from the range of equipment that your profit center specializes in. This can be done by developing your assigned territory, implementing sales plans to grow business and maintain current customer base, and by helping to build the national branding identity.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:

  • College degree in related field with at least 3 years of related experience OR 3-4 years of related sales experience

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Houston, Texas 

Job primarily responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of heavy construction equipment in the field environment.

This will include basic repair knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and engine components.


  • Must be able to perform a variety of skilled duties which may involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on general heavy construction equipment and heavy truck

  • Ability to understand and fill out service-related documents and paperwork in a timely manner

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure maintenance activities on performed in a timely manner

  • Clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment

  • Meet all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager

  • Familiarity with the construction industry and experience working around heavy equipment is a must.

  • Read and interpret specifications and manuals • Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment

  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors, supervisors and equipment operators

  • Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety

  • Must have own tools.



  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.


  • 5+ years experience as a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic, preferably in the field

  • Requires the ability to lift, push or pull and move up to 70 pounds and must be capable of climbing, kneeling, twisting and bending in a varied environment

  • Crane and welding experience is a plus CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Drivers License, OSHA10/30, First Aid and CPR

  • Must maintain satisfactory driving record at all times which may be subject to approval by company's insurer and in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Outdoor / Field environment PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL

Sales Engineer

Sales Engineers are responsible for ensuring that they provide optimal equipment for a particular setting without creating wasteful overruns for the customer, while also ensuring that the recommendations meet the needs of the building/project.



  • Calls on management representatives such as facilities managers, engineers, project managers, and other professional and technical personnel at construction, commercial, industrial and other establishments to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products and services offered

  • Travels throughout entire assigned sales region to call on existing and new customers to understand needs and solicit orders

  • Prospects, identifies and qualifies future customers in person, over the phone and arranges scheduled binder presentations to establish new accounts

  • Negotiates contracts with customers for the rental and sale of Top Portable Air product/services and closed the deal

  • Develops and exploits new and existing markets to increase revenue. Cultivates territory by cold calling on targeted customer base and follows up on company generated leads

  • Effective communication must be demonstrated as both written, verbal skills and dealing and closing skills are important to the success of this position

  • Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates

  • Tracks bid results and reviews monthly rentals and sales of equipment to provide feedback as to the overall success and effectiveness to Regional Manager

  • Effectively maintains and updates contact through ACT! database

  • Identifies customer needs and prepares a proposal and presentation of our services that will partner with the customer to meet their needs

  • Coordinates with Regional Manager when not available to maintain effective customer coverage

  • Learns all technical aspects of equipment, function and appropriate applications

  • Provides technical service and training to customers relating to use, operation and maintenance of equipment

  • Assists the billing department to help secure customer payment for sales

  • Occasional overnight travel or irregular work schedule at certain times of the year (as needed)

Clean driving record

This position requires a strong technical or mechanical background along with the ability to learn engineering concepts. 

Associate degree is preferred for this position or  3+ years of experience in the sales/service industry.
